Default Gelcoat safe solvents

Just want to be sure before I make something worse. Had the misfortune of tying up to someone with a messed up bumper. It left a brown sticky resin on my white gel, hoping like hell it didnt rub any scratches into the gel but hard to tell with the sticky goo on it. I am calmer now but was freaking out earlier, need to be sure I dont make a further mess trying to fix it. Thinking clean the goop of and if any scratches wheel it out.

Industrial strength acetone will dissolve this. I have used it with no problems. Wax after.

I would try goo gone first try it in a place under the boat a test spot that nobody can see. Acetone eats plastic.
