Dont know it but test drive it different sea conditions before you buy. I had a 99 and it was pretty ill handling. Factory blueprinted bottom and cut the last 18" of strakes off and it helped but... This one looks like it was done also. Good price if it runs well. Some are worse than others.

I've emailed Bruce back and forth 20 times or more about this boat. Seems to good to be true, but he swears that it runs good and he has personally ran the boat. So I say go for it!!!

It probably wont be any faster than a non step hull, especially in the rough. Mine ran 67-69mph in flat water but lost a few mph in anything over 1' chop. Bow steered a little too. Like I said drive it ALOT before buying.

Yes Bruce said he ran it, and it did 67, not the fastest thing, but looks to be a nice looking boat.

I mean i have a 25 foot, at it only runs 63 haha so 5 mph, and AC, and a pump out tolet sure will be nice.

Just did not know if anyone knew a story about it. I did look for the strakes cut, and its not there. I have also talked to the owner, he has had it since it was 3 years old.

I hear 5 blade props really help the bow lift?

5 blades will lift the stern. Drives are probably too deep for 5 blades and you will be breaking drives.

The '99 I was in had the factory hull mods described above. Boat ran way too flat. Could never air out the hull.

I thoguht i read of some props everyone ranon these to lift the boat alot better.

I just find it hard to belive that these hulls are complete ****, i mean most say its a great riding boat? I am sure the newer hulls are better but that does not make the old one the worst thing in the world?

Just asking. i mean a 1995 ferrari is not a 2011, but its still a damn fun car, and nice and WAY cheaper haha.

IIRC, PQ redesigned the Avenger hulls in 2000 or 01. Hey, it's a 38' boat that runs 65.......I really don't think handling is an issue. If you plan to go with bigger power, maybe it's something to consider. I just saw a utube video of a frickin' Bayliner running 90+.......don't think I'd be concerned about a 38 foot PowerQuest at anything under 80
