i have captains calls and i would rather just remove the thru-hub and only have the thru-hull....


where can i find a plug or hole filler for the gimble ring?

im pulling my motor this weekend for a new oil pump, bilge pump and general cleaning anyways..... so i figured why not just rip that out while i have the motor out

ok so i found a plate online! is it really just as simple as putting a plate over the hole!???

yea i never thought it would be that simple! not even going to waist my time buying a plate i have metal and a plasma cutter and a drill not sure what else i need

Good idea, Merc charges around $40 for that plate if I recall.

Those 2 bottom bolts are a mother! Engine most likely has to come out unless your a twisted matchstick?

motor is coming out this weekend and i think im going to make a gasket plus rtv it!
