Default 20 Cig - Anyone know stock prop?

Need some help to figure out what type of prop the 20 Cig should have from the factory. Bone stock, 330 HP BB - TRS w/ velvet Drive. 1980.

The previous owner put a mirage 23P 14" Mirage on her. Not sure where to go to baseline for lift and holeshot. Haven't had it WOT much, RPMS seem ok ~5000.

Anyone have a better solution?

Any help appreciated.

I think they are all going to be somewhat different, but it sounds like you're pretty close with the 23P Mirage. If you're curious, find a few different props in that range and see which feels best for your driving conditions (holeshot, top speed, handling, etc.)

from the factory in 1980 it would have had a cleaver. There are much better options today.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree newer props are better designed. Have been reluctant to run WOT yet. Making sure everything is working right, especially the new tach .

Only hit 4600 WOT with this prop, but no trim. This setup doesn't seem to accept any trim at all and wants to blow-out any chance it can. Assuming this is a function of the lift of this prop, am I wrong?

Try a 23 Mirage Plus (more cup) The TRS drive were mounted very deep, I think the three blade will most likely work the best.

-----Smoke This,,,If it was me, I would drag your Cig over to Bill Smith at Smith propellors in Algonac. He is a wizard, and has the family history to back it up. Smith Props made just about every prop for Chris Craft back in the day. Good people. I took my repowered Donzi Corsican over there and he pulled a prop off the shelf. It turned out just about perfect. He will also exchange out a prop if it isnt right and try again.......Bill S

I have a spare 23" pitch 3 blade cleaver from my 20 Cigarette. It had a 454/365 I paid $150 plus shipping for the prop, I'll sell it for what I have in it if you are interested.
