Default 25 daytona speed

I have a 2000 25' Daytona with a Procharge 502 EFI around 630 HP and a 1.5 Bmax outdrive 26 bravo prop at 5200 rpm and the best I can get out of it is 87 mph. I have read a few of yalls post on here and it seems that people are getting a lot faster speeds out of there boats with the same HP and was just wondering if I should be going faster with this setup, or if there might be something wrong with the boat. I just bought the boat 3 months ago and it had a 28 prop and almost wouldn't get on plane. Even now with the 26, 1/2 fuel and 4 people it is slow to plane.
I need help please!

seems very strange. I had a similar setup boat, infact this sounds like my old boat. white with purple checkerd flag pattern on the back of it. I ran a 30p bravo prop and it would easily run over 95.
could have a bad prop hub or engine coupler allowing slip.

Well it could be, I bought it from a guy in dallas named John and it does have that color setup. When I bought it the outdrive was cracked and sent it back to Bmax so I never knew how it would run. I thought it seem like something was wrong, but this is my first I/o and don't know much about them. The prop hub looked good, but the engine coupler I'm not sure how I would know if it's bad.
If this is your old boat and your the one who did the setup on it I would really like to know some things about it if you don't mind. You can IM me.

When I'm getting up it's not blowing out and and reving out like something is slipping, it's like I'm dragging something, it doesnt rev up till I get on plane. It's almost like something in the drive line is really tight. " this is a NEW outdrive too" And with I put the new drive on it seem kind of hard to turn the prop in neutral. I'm really stump here and really use some help.

Sounds like its down on power or you ended up with a 1.36 gear set.

500efi, 1.5 bravo drive spinning a 28 at 5200 will run low to mid 80's.

500efi baby whipple 720hp bravo 1 1.5 spinning a 32 at 5200 will run low 90's.

I suggest a leak down tet on the motor.

Well I checked and I do have a 1.30 outdrive. So I guess I just need to down in prop or go up in HP.

Default 25 Daytona Speed Issue

I have a 1999 25 Daytona. 30 pitch bravo, 700hp, supercharged, 8:71, 5/7 lbs boost, bravo 1, completely reworked by savage marine. Boat is a rocket, runs very well, runs about 95 to 100mph at 5200rpm, but runs strong all day at a more conservative 4500rpm. and gets there very quickly. Never have had any trouble planning with a 30 or 28 pitch bravo.

Also, your 502 is working very hard, 5200rpm, for 87 mph. So thats not good. Not sure whats going on, but sorry to hear your having those issues with a used boat.! Its a bummer, and hopefully you get everything worked out soon!... I have no experience w/ BMax drives, so idk how the compare to bravos/imcos.....

first off do a leak down on the motor. If its my old boat I sold it 5 years ago. That motor is likely very tired by now. I had over 100 hours on the combo when I sold it. The new owner ran it in numerous poker runs as well. Ill send you a pm and pic to verify its my old boat.
