read the article, thank you BTW..always a good read...
BUT..I disagree with Peter... He's using the wrong drives. Those #6's will not hold up for any long period of time. A good alternative would be ASD-8's but the proper set up would be with the10's.

torque is torque..the Skater hull will not save the drive..hence Merc's new drive for the new turbo engines..

Talked to Pete last weekend at Boyne Thunder and his is not a fan of the new M8 drive but like stanless says what does he know

I'm with Peter on this one. No reason to HAVE to go with shaft drives yet. Big heavy vee sure shaft drives all the way, different animal here.

I'll be more interested to see if the engines can outlive the drives, or a single tank of fuel for that matter.
