Has anybody out there attempted to use a Hynautic Helm H42-02 with a power steering pump and external rams? I know the hynautic helm is designed to work without power assist, but I bought it at a marine flea market without knowing that. I would be willing to trade it for a Char-Lynn helm. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

don't think those are designed to work with the P/S pump..they are their own pump....
