Question Elizabeth Park (Detroit river) boat ramp

I was going to cruise the Detroit river on Saturday and was wondering if anyone has ever used the ramp at Elizabeth Park. Specificaly, weather or not any bigger offshore style boats go in and out of this place. I have a Silverado 2500 HD Crew cab and a formula 357 and the total length is pretty long, tight turns and small parking lots are a bit of an issue.

I have never used the ramp, but have been by it by water many many times. It is very wide. But, I don't know how deep it is, but I would assume launching there should not be an issue.

I know a lot of off shore boats also use the Ecorse Public Ramp. It has a very gradual incline which makes getting the boat back on the trailer easy. But a lot of yahoo's also launch there, so it is usually a waiting game.... I would stay away from the Wyandotte, boat ramp. It is very steep, which puts your trailer at a goofy angle when trying to get the boat back on the trailer.

i've seen a 36 gladiator launch there, I've only launched bass boats personally.

I use that ramp all the time, works great for my 30 foot boat, in and out in no time at all, we have launched a 42 foot offshore there with no problems also.

We put my buddies 42' fountain in there last year. Only issue was his out drive guard on the trailer stabbed down in the mud, no damage or anything just had to dunk the trailer a few times to get the muck/blue clay off LOL

Just curious why you want to launch up there instead or running up across the lake from Toledo??

I just ran up to Wyandotte last weekend from Toledo...gotta love the water up there, crystal green...not the brown muck we have down here.

I just got back from a trailer trip up north (Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Inland Waterway etc), and the boat was still on the trailer. I thought I could save a few bucks on Gas money by running up there on the trailer vs. leaving from Pier 75. That was the only reason I was looking to launch out of E. Park.
