Default 2010 350MAG making ticking noise, lifter or exhaust leak?

My engine started making a ticking noise last weekend and I can't get it looked at for almost two weeks. That being the case, during the middle of the season, can anyone tell me how to determine if its just an exhaust leak?
It's under warranty so I'm not going into the engine myself just want to make sure I'm safe to drive it the short time we've left.
Any ideas?

One of my 502s was making a ticking noise and it turned out that the intake manifold gasket was blown.

Pull the plug wire from the cylinder(s) that are ticking. If it's an exhaust leak the noise will change noticeably.

I have a mechanics stethoscope (about $10) I like to use ...Old timers used a wooden dowel or large screwdriver that may also work...and help you understand where the noise is coming from.
just my opinion .
