Each year we offer short boat rides to our Veterans on the Friday before the run. Typically up to Drakes Creek and back at a cruise speed suitable to the conditions. They always enjoy this and look forward to it each year. This year the rides will be from Anchor High starting at around 5:00 pm. Please consider donating your time and driving skills. I'm bringing the 29 Advantage deck boat and it has tons of room in it. Let me know of any of the Vets would like to make the lunch run downtown on Friday. I'll be putting in at the ramp near Anchor High and could swing over to the marina for a pick up. I could probably handle 5 or so more passangers.

Tell VFW Bob that Navy Bob would be more than happy to haul him downtown if he wants to go. We even have a nice cover on the boat so they want be baking in the sun.

Appreciate that a ton. Bob's running the food bank on Friday, so he can't make it. That cover is going to be the envy of all before the weekend is up.
