Default F650 Owners - help with questions

I might pull the trigger this weekend on a F650 after my new 2011 Chevy 3500 left me stranded in TN at the poker run 3 miles from the dock.

Both are 2008 mod. One has a Cat with 6 speed and the other a cumm-5 speed.

Any experiance with either? Options I must have or should have. Thanks,

I have the Cat c7 with emission tax paid to bumb up the HP, allison 6 speed, full airide on frame with air ride on chairs. I bought this configuration after much research! Also went with super singles instead of dully.
I love my truck and wouldn't change a thing.

I have always had the CAT and never a problem. We currently have a 2005 4x4 F650 with 28,000 miles if interested. $71,900

I would get the Super Single setup. You don't need dual rear wheels on that truck.

As to the engines, my preference is the Cummins, but the CAT makes stupid torque w/o mods.

Your call.
