sea strainers

Hey guys do the tall ones help with getting more water to the motor vs the shorter ones? Or does that not matter? What is the point of the taller ones?

the taller ones hold more water in reserve in rough water and also hold more trash if you run in areas with a lot of grass or seaweed.
