What tools do you guys use to remove the glassed in tabs and main inner fiberglass of the boat? I have a 4" grinder and 7" buffer/grinder. Ive only been using the 4" with a metal grinding disk as well as a cut off disk. Should I use the 7" with a sanding disk? Thanks in advance for help, I'm still learning.

you should be using 36 grit grinding disc's, the meyal ones seem to just melt everything and tales too long to get any where..

I ended up buying a few 16, 24 and 36 grit for use on the variable speed buffer. Seems to have made the job go twice as fast as well as making the transitions smoother. Thanks for the reply.

If you have a LOT to remove then you can use a power planer.
