Default Question....about high fuel pressure and bad sea water pressure sensor

I have a 2007, 496 mag that stared running poorly above idle speed. I first found that my gas pressure was 90 psig so I replaced the fuel gas regulator.

The boat still ran poorly, so I changed the sea water pressure sensor and this solved the problem.

I failed to recheck the fuel pressure after installing new fuel gas regulator and before installing sea water pressure sensor.

So my question is .... Is it possible that through the electronics, the 90 psig fuel gas pressure was being generated because of the bad sea water pressure sensor?
