Default Oil-line hookup on my Gen V HP500.

Hey guys.

My name is Jens Henrik and i am new on this forum and i own a 29 ft scarab here in Denmark where i am from. I have a little problem that i hope you can help me with.
I just bought a new 555bb engine for my scarab, and i have some problems hooking up my oil lines from the block adaptor through the oil cooler and the filter.
Does any of you guys have a picture you can post of a Gen 5 HP 500 oil line hookup, so i can see which hose goes where?
All the hoses are replaced with new steel braided with Aeroquip fittings.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks....

Jens henrik..
Denmark.

Just make sure the center hose at the remote oil filter ends up at the center of the block adapter, and the hose that feeds the outside of the remote filter ends up at the outside of the block adapter. You can either put the cooler before the filter or after.

1st off with that engine can all the merc oil system, use a good block adapter w/1/2 fittings, #10 lines, largee 18x3 oil cooler, oil filter mount with the same 1/2 fittings moroso canton etc, make sure you keep lies as short as possible, run the closest to the block fitting to the in on filter mount, the to oil cooler, p/s cooler back to outer block fitting...

Mail sent.
Your old system should be ok, although better fittings and oil lines would not hurt. Make sure the oil temp is in the correct range.
