Just want to thank everyone for making the Port Huron/Sarnia race a success and a possible reality for many more years to come. Congrats to all class winners and a thank you to everyone that was able to make arrangements to show to this new race site. For a first year event, I, and many others, were pleasantly surprised at what was able to be put together at such a short notice. The local people just have to realize that St. Clair has over 15 years of experience in hosting a race and given time Port Huron could be just as popular. Both are great sites to see a race and both have the wet and dry pits very close by, making it easy to view the action in the pits and on the course.
Here's hoping that the race returns and if it does, it returns at a different date so that it does not compete with the SBI race in Michigan City, IN, enabling more boats being able to compete.
Again- well done by all organizers, officials, volunteers, and racers that made this first year race an event that will continue for many more years.

My family and I arrived home safe at 2:30pm today after a great weekend at Port Huron. The site was awesome but needs more improving but that is ok because it is first time host in Port Huron. I am sure the Port Huron Committee can adjust to make it better for next year! Everyone was very lucky because there was a bad rainstorm about 30 minutes after Race ended!!!!! Oh, what a perfect timing! It actually killed a small tent!! LOL
Hats off to Louie from Strictly Business and Smitty from Wazzup on their tough battle in St Clair and Port Huron!!! What a race!
Now that Michigan races are over until next year....Thanks for a great time!!! See you next year!!! Our next adventure is MOVING to Ann Arbor this weekend....Fun? NOT....not too excited .......

Courtney,
Thank you to you and the rest of the Port Huron organizers! I had an awesome time in Port Huron!
Don't hesitate to give me a call, I'll help and/or direct in the right direction any way I can. The Saturday parade on Water to Canada for the signing was sooooooooooooooo much fun.
Plus, having our team on a wine bottle is way way cool!
We are all looking forward to the event next year!

I was sitting in Port Huron at the break wall in the Dry Pit Area watching the race and thought just how great it was watching Amsoil, Cleveland Construction and Lightning Jacks making the turn in front of the Sarnia Bay Marina and shooting rooster tails as they made the turns. What a thrill that must of been for the fans who have never seen an Offshore Powerboat Race before and a great photo opt for them. It is still a thrill to watch for those of us who have been watching for years. Great job everyone.
