I have been to each one, such a cool event and it is right in my home town. Just some casual photos I took while I was there enjoying the action. If you are anywhere in the Midwest, this is a sweet event to go to !

Why did they race for a second time? I know the schedule showed two races but since it rained and all the boats ran in the first race I figured it was over and I missed part of the second race because we took the kids over to the zoo. I heard a couple of boats come out and then I could see them thru the trees and told my wife they are racing again so we hurried thru the zoo and got back out on the beach to watch the rest of it.

They were thinking of just running one race after the rain delay but they decided to do 2. They ran what they called a split race, half the course in the morning, and half in the after noon to make it more exciting.
