Does anyone know what pitch and diameter prop is the correct prop for the 180 Islander powered by a 4.3L/Alpha combo... Through prop exhaust. The one on there now is aluminum...
Thanks!

What hp 4,3 do you have? We also need to know current speed(GPS), prop pitch, gear ratio, and RPM. The LaserII is by far the fastest prop on that boat. We tried a few things on my brothers. Our results where. High five for skiing, Vensura for all around, and LaserII for top end. The Mirage+ and Revolution4 where way too big wheels for the boat and power, and the Vengance was just crap. I think we ran a 23" LaserII, but it's been awhile since he had the boat.
If you run a 1,81 gear it should either be a 21" or 23" and if it's 1,62 gear, a 19" or 21" would be the prop, depending on how you use the boat.

Maybe I am wrong but would the 1:65 turn the larger 21"/32" props, and the higher spinning 1:81 turn the smaller 19"/21" only faster???

I think we were turning 23" props on the 190 Islander that I had with the 1:65 and a 190 HP 4.3L. The 190 was based on the same 180 hull design with a streched nose, and molded platform.
