Default a1000 pumps

If these pumps are run with the slightest bit of air aerated with the fuel it will tear them up almost immediately. As with all geroter or vane pumps they should only be fed from a sump on the bottom of the tank. Not pulled from a drop tube bolted to the top of the tank. Also make sure the pumps are always mounted below the fuel level of the tank at all times regardless of whether they are fed from a sump or not. They are rebuildable.

I have had great luck with mine. It is mounted below the tank with a sump though.

How do you mount the pump below the tank when the tank is nestled into the V of the hull? I have mine on the stringer, probably mid-tank, but know it is above the fuel level when the tank goes down.

They are 10 years old? My experience with these pumps has been great, if they don't sit, actually had better results in a daily use application than a once in a while situation

Mount them below the bottom of the tank, in most applications you can get them in the deepest part of the bilge. Put them as close to the tank as possible.

What Micron and GPH rate water separator are you using? Any restriction on the suction side will make them really noisy.
