I was just wondering what speeds an rpm ppl run to get best fuel rang

you will probably be best at around 3100 rpm but you wont be going to fast. if i find the sweet spot on the hull in the right water I can cruise at 50 at 3500. no matter what, you are pushing a good amount of weight with a single motor.

I would like to find that sweet spot! 4000 gets me 45 at best on the wishometer.

I have a procharged 496ho turning a 28 bravo 1. everyday cruise speed would be about 46 at 3500. perfect conditions would tickle 50 at 3500. GPS speeds.

Ok, don't feel so bad now. 502 stocker for me. A bit of a turd. The dilemma of more power or a bigger boat with more power...something has to happen!

4K gets me bout 50 it seems like.
