Default Regelling a 28' cig. How much should it cost?

Thinking of getting into a project boat and am trying to see how much I'll be into it before I pull the trigger on getting it.
I don't know if colors affect cost but I love the look of older boats that have been painted/ regelled all white and I think that'll be the direction I'd like to go.

Whats the range for a no frills quality paint job? How similar is painting a boat to a car? I'm new at the boat thing and am open to all input. Any info you guys can give to a newb?

$6-12K.

Lot harder to paint a boat than a car. If it hasn't been wrecked you might be able to bring it back with a wetsand.

Pretty good general rule of refurbish cost is 100%+ of the purchase price if its in average condition.

If your new at the boating thing you need to go to www.yachtsurvey.com and read some of his online articles, especially the one about buying a project. It will save you a lot of time and effort.

Just to give you an idea of what replacing the gelcoat actually cost, it was about $10K for my 13ft boston whaler
