I want to upgrade the carb on my '89 Mach 1 MV2350 Condor 5.7L Mercrusier with Alpha 1 Gen 1 outdrive. Would like knowledge on spacers or upgrade kits for the quadrajet (I think) carb.

If you go to a holly or edelbrock you need an adapter plate i believe

Change the intake and the carb. Save weight and add performance.

If you want to change carbs but don't want to change intake and fuel line, you can buy a Holley Marine Q-Jet replacement carb that will bolt right on and go.

How can you upgrade from a Quadrajet? They are the best marine carb ever. Have it rebuilt and be grateful you have one!
