What are my options for a motor for my Sunsation Rocket. I see plenty of motors prebuilt for sale. But I am concerned about the quality of the build. My other idea is to go to a reputable builder like Tyler Crockett and have a motor built. Curious what the cost would be, Im guessing more than buying a comparable motor that I see that in the Swap Shop on here. Any other ideas. I Could assemble a motor pretty easily but dont want to take on a whole build myself because of lack of knowledge of oiling systems etc.

I suggest a ZZ 502 Crate motor from a local GM dealer.
It doesn't get much better than that.

A ZZ 502 crate motor....and a purpose built MARINE motor, are two different animals.

looks like some mods need to be done to the zz502 to make it a marine motor. I have been reading some posts about it on here

I have a 525 hp BBC designed by Bob Mandra and built by Dave Weseldyke of Wesco Racing in Jenison MI. The engine has 55 hours on it and I will give you a good deal on it. It will also out last any zz502 as this was is not an assembly line engine but hand built by one of the best engine builders in the country. If you're interested send me a PM or Call me 847-754-0335.
