Sierra sells them also but they look like the ones on a Mercruiser Big block OEM black production motor plus not as tall as the ones on the HP motors. Not as pretty either but they all do the same thing spark suppression.
They all have to be US coast guard approved even if you are buying the K&N version for safety & legal purposes. The proper name for these are flame arrestors. Sierra part # is 18-7232 full retail is $124.00 FYI if you are looking to save some cash.

They do NOT flow that same rate of air flow. I have a gaffrig on my built 427 and I think its a great flame arrestor. I have HP 500's on my 330's and I personally like the gaffrig better due to the base being radiused for better air flow. The HP 500 is flat and will only fit on a holley unless you use an adaptor spacer. Plus the Gaffrigs a fraction of the price!

Totally agree from post above. Never said about flowing CFM's but flowing air also has alot to do with how much cool fresh incoming air can enter the engine compartment / Bilge area and how much engine heat and engine emissions can escape to help flow #'s.
Most boaters do not even run their engine compartment blowers while underway inwhich would help if you did run it. Most people never think about that after the motor gets stuffed in a well sealed up almost waterproof engine compartment with small vents and alot times with vents only in the stern area.
The Sierra unit is not screened with the small holes, it is row finned with large gaps. I bet it would flow the same volume of air. Just blow thru one - no restriction at all but I know design and volume also has alot of impact for flowing air. IMO fresh incoming air, engine compartment heat & engine emissions held within the engine compartment is more of a restriction. Just much 2 cents plus just showing the cheap version option. Good luck
