Father in law has a 28' eliminator fun deck with a 525 bravo xr 1.50 ratio. Boat is running a 26 labbed bravo and will only run around 62-63 on gps. Seems like boat should run a bit faster than that at 62 its turning 5400 rpm also had 4 people in the boat. Any ideas on a better prop size?

Sounds to me like your there. You could spend a lot of money and time trying different props but probably wouldn't see more than 1-2 mph difference if any. 5400 is probably about max factory recommended rpm.

Your slip is rediculously high (29%). The 525efi should be propped for 5200 RPM. Who labbed the prop? Have you tried other props? Maybe the bravo prop is not the prop for that boat. You could try a 28P to bring the RPM down a bit, but that probably won't help with the slip. Eliminator should be able to point you in the right direction.

I'm running a 4-blade 28 Pitch Bravo prop. ( I could get you the model number if you wish).

At about 5000 RPM I hit about 70 mph on GPS with about 80 gallons of fuel and another 15 gallons of fresh water for the sink.

Best I've seen was 76 mph at 5200 rpm on a cool day with with all the tanks empty and only myself and a buddy on board. We actually ran out of gas after that sprint.

cool ill let him know he should try a 28p prop i know that 5400 is max rpm for the motor it does seem like its got a lot of slip and kind seems flat from 5000-5400 rpm like it needs that last bit of pull to push it up higher in speed.

it was labbed by gibbs propeller here in havasu hes gonna look else where for diffrent prop not hapy with the labbed 26 from gibbs.

People love to throw around the term "labbed". Personally, I like to start with a prop right out of the box so I can get a baseline. Not all prop modifications end with favorable results.

Is this a 525efi? If so, 5200 RPM is where you want to be.
