I just received the booster pump kit referenced in Mercury Bulletin 99-7.

I started to loosely plumb the system last night, but prior to hard mounting the brackets, thought I'd ask for some advice.

Anyone install this kit on a 27 (or other Fountain) before? Any dealer techs here? Does your 27 have this kit factory installed?

I'd like to install the pump and filter as close to factory location as possible (if, in fact, that's the best location).

I just plumbed the return line back to the fuel tank instead of the fuel filter per Eddie Young's instructions and cured the vapor lock on my 454 mag MPI. Took about 15 minutes and $10 worth of fittings and hose. Most people would never even notice that it has been done.

Do you ever go to Dam 48 or JB Beach?
