Hey guys I just purchased my first Scarab a 96 22' with a 502. Runs pretty good cruises at 58 at 3800rpm with a 24 pitch prop. Any ideas, suggestions or concerns I need to know about?

What is wide open throttle?

I had a 97, same boat, with 7.4 (300hp carb) ran a 25 mirage plus at 62 mph @ 4400-4500 rpm. Saying this cause looks like a 502 would turn a higher pitch prop. I tried lots of prop styles mirage plus that came from wellcraft always worked the best. Sounds like It might have a gear ratio changed in the bravo?

i agree, my first thought on that combo would be a 26p 4 blade.
