Default Drive Shower for a TRS...Do I need one?

I had a guy tell me that I needed drive showwers on my TRS's but many more people told me that it would be a waste of money I also belive this. I am running 350sb chevys 300hp velvet trannys, 5200 rpm max. I have checked a couple of sites that give a list of mercurys hottest running drives and TRS isnt even listed. can anybody tell me weather or not I need them?

I did put a shower on my TRS but I am driving it with 548 cubes and about 550 HP. No way would I spend the bucks to shower a TRS with small block input. --- Jer
