Default 25 OL....what are your numbers?

Just finished a repower....sold the 496 mag on my 01' 25 Outlaw. Went back at it with a naturally aspirated 540 at 700+ HP. Didn't dyno as the exact same parts on a recently built 540 dyno'd at 758 HP. Only difference is I'm running a Dominator Carb 1050cfm and the other engine has an 850cfm carb.

Dart block, Brodix "Big Brodie" aluminum heads, inconel valves, scorpion roller rockers, Holley Dominator Carb, Merlin Intake

Haven't really wound it out to the 5500 rev limit yet, but saw 75mph at 4950 rpm with 4 people, 1/2 tank and 2 ft chop. Was really exicted to see that. I'm running a M+ 27p and may have some labbing done over the winter.

The repower has definitely sparked my enthuisiasm and will definitely be running in some of the poker runs around TX-OK and maybe MO next summer.

Yea Bob....I just haven't got into the throttle yet....only have about 20 hours on the new engine and 4950rpm is the highest I've went but had some more pepper to throw at it. Revlimit is set at 5500, so there is plenty more there.

@Russell...yea, I live in Fort Worth but am moving back to Ardmore...probably do Texoma most of the time AFTER the killer algae dies out.

@Jeff...yea, I think I'll clear 80 fairly easy...maybe 82-85 at the most. When you hit 80...did you have any kind of chine walk at all? My damn fountain lovin'(good boats) dad has me a little freaked out about some of his old stories. I know all hulls are a little different, but just being cautious.

Do you have hydraulic steering yet? I would definitely consider adding it and mosty reccomend it once you reach these speeds.

I don't have the hydraulic steering yet....i know it's a must, what would you guys suggest? Yep, could probably run this thing out to 6000 rpms if I really wanted, but it's just too much for this hull...imo

An add on system would work but full hydraulic (from the helm on back) is the way to go.
