Nice boat!!!...but I'm jaded
I think you have a very rare boat indeed!!! I say keep the original 6's to have for an original restoration but re-power with a pair of Small Blocks. These boats perform great with a pair of 260 ~300 horse Chevy's on No 1 or Alpha drives...high 50's to mid 60's depending on the load and props. Believe it or not...the Small Block Chevy V8 is about 100 lbs lighter than the Inline six!!! You save about 200lbs with twins. Build another Small Block to match the one you have. You're already set up for twins so take advantage of it....less work in the long run.
There is not a better riding boat in that size range than the 255 Formula...especially in rough water. My neighbor who is a part time boat mechanic was out with me yesterday in 2'~4' head seas and was amazed how well a 32 year old 24 deg deep vee Formula still handles the rough stuff.
Let us know what you do.

Jason,
Be glad to...the motor mounts are real simple. You can see the way it's set up when I send you some pics. PM me with your email.
Try calling Formula customer service and ask for Scott...he might have some production info for you if you give him the hull number. You didn't say what year yours is but I suspect yours might be one of the first. I think the V8's were standard by '78 or '79.
