Okay People, Someone please tell me how an old 89 41 Apache can get a step built into the bottom when it was never done like that at the factory? What would the reliablity of the bottom be having something that drastic done to it? The step was added afterwards. The boat was rebuilt recently by bob saccenti, creator of Apache.

From what i read in old threads on here it was actually a new front piece that was bonded onto the old bottom to form the step.

So I found out this weekend that according to Brett at PBB that the step on "Only Rumors" is a piece that was bonded to the bottom of the boat and can be removed. Anybody that knows Scott, tell him that he would probably sell the boat if he took the step off and refinished the bottom. I know I would be more interested. Just food for thought.
