Booze Crooze Saturday, Paducah Riverfront
#1
Heading to the riverfront Saturday to take a booze crooze. Havent decided yet whether to head up through Smithland Dam and to Golconda, or travel a little ways up the Cumberland.
I think there are 5 going so far, have room for 11 more if anyone wants to ride and hang out. Probably do a little wakeboarding here and there, might drink a couple too
Meeting up around 11-1130, boat leaves at noon.

We will be meeting at exit 3 Cheers Saturday morning between 11-1130. Truck leaves at 1130 and heading to the Metropolis boat ramp.
I called the Parks Dept yesterday and they said the riverfront ramp will be closed Saturday due to Marine Industry Days. Once again, the boaters get screwed. I wish Paxton and all the other flunkies would hurry up and build us a damn marina.

Man they need to do something. We thought about heading down from smithland to the riverfront and tieing to the barge/dock. I know its always an issue there with the barges. Yelled at em a few times myself. Im sure me and the wifey will be out.

We tried that a few years ago. Left Moors, locked through Barkley, boated all teh way down, only to be turned away when we got there. The towboats take over down there during all this mess. That day, a few of us kind of had it out with Paducah Police, Coast Guard, TVT operators, and maybe a few others. Empty promises from a towboat company were made to the boaters about the dock down there before we ever left.
