Pretty much got ALL the bugs worked out with the 272 and desire a short trip to Bimini. Thinking, weather permitting, leaving say 9/10am Friday morning the 14 of October and to return say early-ish Sunday morning. Just a quick weekend. I believe if we leave from like boca it's like 53 +\- miles one way and I do not need to prove my balls by going it alone with one screw, or in that case on screw loose!

That sounds like a great trip, we don't get many of those in TX.....looks like Bimini Bay Resort has some stay & play packages for the marina also. I don't think the tropical storm would have any impact on your weekend but might keep an eye on it.

Bimini can be a lot of fun with the right crew. I have been there twice and it was a great trip both times. Both times by boat. Be very wary of the weather forcasts. It can get really snotty out in the middle and you'll get stuck there.
Planning to be in FL around end of Oct, first of Nov. We were gonna make that trip as well.
Have fun. Be safe. Take all the necessary safety gear.
