Cool in Alabama is like what? 80 degrees?
If you want cool weather you should of been here last week!
Give us the facts. GPS speed. RPM's. Prop details.
I have some prop testing to do also. Some guys have slid ahead of me
on the Microboats list. Damn it.

Some of the nicest quality I've seen in a production boat.
BTW, I think the one I looked at ran 55.

Thanks for the compliments. So do you guys think it could handle a small blower and lets say 100 more hp. its a 425hp from merc 1993 vintage. a small blower can easily bump it 525. i guess when its time to refresh this may be an add on item.
LC
330hp 59 mph
425hp 69 mph
525hp ?? mph
could make a nice sleeper.

Current compression is in the 8's. I think 8.7 or 8.3, rather low. Its the base motor that merc added a 177 blower to and called it the 525. Another company copied merc and sold Hawk 525's.
Hydro steering would be nice but the transom has a funky angle that makes it hard to incorporate. Might just do the drew side winders that way if the ps belt comes off the drive wont come hard over.

See what i mean. Another thing is the need for trim tabs. With the transom being curved it would be difficult to mount the trim planes in line with the hull bottom, they would toe out if mounted flat on the transom. A shim would work but would look rather ghetto just like the boarding ladder.
