Default 1988 Scat Cat

I was going through the local classified ads and saw this. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Anyone have one of these or know anything about these?

Thats a lot of weight/power for that boat. The capacity plate says 25 HP on these things. I had an '86 with a 35 HP Merc. Worst boat ever. Cavitated like crazy so had to have a custom chopper made. to get on plane I had to lay on the bow and 'steer' with the wheel between my knees. Once on plane, it rode extremely "wet." I stuffed the boat at least 100 times...lost a lot of sunglasses that way! I did not have power trim or a jackplate...I hear that helps a lot on these things...

I guess that could be a good reason that they didn't make them for very long.
