Default 28' project

found this while surfing s.fla craigslist.
If I had the $$ this would be a killer O/B conversion. Offload the I/O pc's and you might be doing OK depending on condition.
Looks interesting.

But if.......
the guy takes $6K and it comes w/two of everything to off load.
You should be able to end up w/a trailer and hull for $2K or less???
Even if it needs stringers and transom....., how many 28's are there??
I don't need another project but if it were closer I'd still go see if the hull/deck were solid.

If you look at the valve covers you can see that the rocker arms are covered with rust. Most of the parts are junk..

There is very little of value in that mess. Trust me it looks MUCH better in the pics than it does in person. It was completely full of a water for so long there was moss growing in it and the trailer is junk. Every piece of wood in the boat is rotten including the dash. There is also the butchered glass work in the engine compartment and a questionable title to make it interesting.

I was going to buy it (for about 1/3 of the current price) until driving 12 hours to see it in person. Trust me, stay away from that one at any price.

That's sad. Don't understand people letting something like that go to hell.
I have wasted many trips like that too. Sucks.
