from what they are telling us the channel has not cheanged, if you stay in the channel i think you would be alraight. my dad and i went down by sandpiper and ricks area last night, had to bull **** the security guy and tell them that we had a lift down there we were checking on and they let us go into sandpiper, you are not luanching there for sure, there is no water access at all and that place it really really beat up. i would be very surprised if we see that place open again any time soon or at all. i couldnt get back to the ramp north of the anchors sandbar thanks to bevis and butthead rent a cops in there golf cart but that ramp may be usable. down by ricks it is still closed but cleaned up for the most part, the water was free of debris, didnt see anything for at least the 20 minutes we were sitting there. i would use caution going out there but if you would stay in the channel i would feel ok being out there. if you are a amature idiot and dont know what side of the river is whitch you may just end up beached somewhere, watched that happen a few times too many on normal years LOL
