If you have no spark and the tach needle is moving when you roll the motor over chances are pretty good it is your MSD box. Just buy a new one and change it out as it is not uncommon for them to go out.

Motor runs
Starts to misfire at around 4800.
Went through carb and fuel system, no luck.
Rebuilt distributer, no change

Try Ateco again and ask for Bill. PM me if you can't get a hold of them. I live on Petite and can test it for you on my boat.

Ateco can test them and also has new ones in stock at fair prices. I am 99% sure yours is bad. Many people carry spares for the that very reason.
