70 + BOATS Attend APBA North American Championship Race
Wildwood, NJ Oct 1st & 2nd
NJ Governors Cup Hydrofest North American Championship
Quite refreshing to come to an event and see such a huge turn out of race boats. According John Shaw "This is the largest race of the year."
Due to the location of Wildwood, NJ it's quite easy for the boats in from the south to get to by hopping on the Cape May Ferry.
Some racers are even from as far away as Canada.
Winds on Saturday kept some of the smaller boats on their trailers while the larger boats that ran came back a little beaten up.
When asked John Shaw how he felt the conditions were, "It was rough !!!"
Hopefully Sunday will allow all to race.

Just got in from this event.
Amazing weekend with this event.
Almost 4,000 images to go through now....
I am sure we have a few interesting ones out of that amount that I can keep....

I missed Saturday, attended Sunday. Great event, well organized, and GREAT racing!!! But COLD!!

They certainly had a lot to get squeezed on Sunday after windy conditions kept some classes on their trailers. They got it all done though and still had sun light for the Awards Ceremony where the Prize Money was dispersed right then and there !
