What software do you use to edit? I just started playing around with editing to compile footage from both Go Pros and am just kind of teaching myself as I go. Right now Ive just been using Windows Live Movie Maker. I also have a Mac but havent tried the software on it yet

Kevin,

I have used just about every professional one, out there,
NewTek SpeedEdit
Apple Final Cut (MAC only)
Media Studio Professional
Adobe Premiere Pro ( I do not like this one)
Avid (I do not like this one)

and a few consumer ones,
Windows Live Movie Maker (free)
CyberLink Power Director
Corel/Ulead Video Studio Pro (I do not like this one)

My favorite pro one is NewTek SpeedEdit (my recommendation for pros)
My favorite consumer one is CyberLink Power Director (my recommendation for consumers)

For the " FT. Myers Offshore, Jan 2011, Bob's Donzi ZR",
the opening segment (the DKOR motion background) was originally created with NewTek SpeedEdit,
and did the text overlay "Ft. Myers Offshore, Bob's Donzi", and actual video clip, final edit, with CyberLink Power Director.

Just about all of the 'pay' consumer ones, are reasonably feature rich and easy to use.
The pro ones can be harder to learn, expensive, but had tremendous feature functionality.

Most of these, are PC only

Thanks! The windows one seems decent for being free. What I really want to do is over lay a picture in the video or even a small video in the main video (to show both go pro views at the same time). Can the cyber link do that? How much does it cost?

Thanks again

Yes it does that very well.
$79.99-$99.99 depending on promotion
You can go to the web site, and download a 30 day trial version, to see if you like it. Here is the link for the 30 day trial
