I spoke with two higher-ups at American Marine Holdings today. (Actually, one returned my call when I was on the line so it went to voice mail.) The release was fresh news to the first gentleman I spoke with. As for the second, he said "What you see is what I know." So clearly, this all happened pretty fast.

That said, it is not at all unusual for top management to be unaware of what the owners, whether private individuals or investment groups, of their companies are doing or planning. I covered lots of business stories over the years and this situation is nothing new.

So nothing new to report.

I was planning on sending my Donzi ZRC to the Fountain/Donzi facotry for a refurb - is that a bad idea considering this new development?
