Default 575SCI Map sensor question

One of my motors started running way rich yesterday had a failed MAP sensor. (Swapped out one from the other motor problem solved)

Since it's going to be in the 80's here in Maine today, and my last boating day of the season, I'm looking for a MAP sensor substitute. Pulled one off a 502 MAG MPI last night, they appear to be identical but the harness plug will not plug in..the 502 MAP has just slightly different tabs inside the connector that won't allow the 575 harness to plug in.

My question is are MAP sensors available in different values? Is it safe to modify the connector tabs in the 502 sensor.

I've also read the 575 MAP is the same as a GM '93 Buick riviera 3.8 Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,

Kurt

-Problem rectified! Picked one up at NAPA, The 575SCI uses the same MAP sensor as a '95 Ponticac Grand AM 3.8 Supercharged. Pluged right in, runs perfect, saved the day!

You can only find that type of service at NAPA.

Right On! NAPA part # 2-16865 for the 575SCI map sensor.

Saved the weekend!
