Noticed the same thing. I think they're trying to stick as closely as possible to the original Magnum 27' hull design.

No real need for the step on a 27 IMHO. Modern layup, modern power this boat should perform well.

Any idea on pricing? Something tells me the price may have just gone up a bit lol

Its really tough to beat that design, wonder how many boats are direct descendants (splashes? ) I believe it was a Harry Schoell?

Good lookin boats cant wait to see them. I thought they were going to do a 32ish cat for SS/X Cat at one time. Wonder if thats still on the drawing board.

Love the 27. I actually like that it has no step.

Pricing information hasn't been released but, that said, neither a 27' Magnum nor a 39' Dragon were never what you'd call "inexpensive" anyway.

Like the rest of you, I'm excited to see these boats.

Steps help on small boats too. The Howard 25 is one smokin' piece, and its a single step. Powerboat did several tests with the Howard 25 and 28, look it up.
