Default Tantrum fell short at Radar Run, again

I thought I was gonna sneak away with the win for Single V this year. I had a seacret weapon that I was anable to use. So I settled for third at 76 mph on the gun. I had 77.5 on my GPS, but its all about the Gun. First was a 30' Superboat at 79mph and second was a 25 Baja at 78-77mph. The gun cut a few peoples speeds by 1-2mph this year. My 100 shot of NO2 would have easily put me in the low-mid 80's (solenoid problem)

It was rough with strong wind but the AT did fine. Randy Nuzzo was there snappin shots, 940 pics http://photos.powerboatphotos.com/f305603441

388 skater black/silver/red did 156, F29 DCB green/yellow 136 mph, 42 fountain green 115, 38 fountain 108, 28 skater white 104 mph, both Spectre cats around 110, I think.

This is always a nice way to cap off the season.

Thats to bad about the solenoid, your right it should have put you in the 80s....been hanging around here for over a year and this is the first time i have read about some one using NOS on there boat.....in 1986 I put NOS on my boat, it was a 24ft. checkmate enforcer with a 370 merc with some minor work TRS drive, no hyd steering, no lanyard....stupid i know but i was 22 years old, with no fear and a need for speed...the first time i hit the nos it was all over.....it was crazy, it was like kicking in another motor, now there was no GPS back then but the wish gauge read 88/89 mph, and in reality it was probibly 82/84 mph, but its one of the craziest rides I have ever been on, chine walk like crazy but instant power....hope you get it working, because it will be one hell of a ride......Joe

A little 100 shot wont hurt anything if used sparingly.

I agree. I was more worried about the standard Bravo drive, only a little though. I had a labbed 30 on to help things out, usually spin a labbed 28.

I guess the 30 pitch used more gas than the 28 pitch usually does.

Ha Ha, I think I just mad too many runs. A couple of them the system was on so I was dumping un-needed gas into the motor. That actually only slowed me down 3 mph and about 200 rpm

I ran out of gas on the way home in some ruff stuff.

I don't mind. Its a wet kit with the carb plate. The NOS Sniper kit to be exact. I have a purge line running out the back of the hatch in the middle. Feul press. saftey switch, MSD high current relay. Engine is a custom built 489ci full roller with Alum. heads, 10-1 comp. Not built for boost or a high shot of N2O.. But according to everbody you only need a nitrous built motor for shots above 140hp
