I still don't think that automotive stuff has a place in the marine world. There's a reason nobody is using it. Why change it if it works.

Unfortunately a lot of us can't afford 80K-100K for 1100hp off the back of the boats when you can do about double I/O for less...

A new 525EFI Bravo XR package is $50k a side, yes $100k msrp on new construction.

You will need 4 $24k Mercury 300 pro outboards to equal this power, $96k total and you will be 500 lbs heavier

I think they might have something here, especially with the CC boom going on, seems to be a smart place for R&D.

I like the exhaust note, in fact the lack of an exhaust note is my primary reason for disliking outboards.
