Default New to the Forum and couple of questions on 05 Outlaw 23

Hey guys, I found a few threads when searching for stuff on google and decided to sign up. I've got some questions concerning an 05 Outlaw 23. I just got done winterizing it with the help of searching threads on here, and I wanted to get a jump on things before next spring sneaks up on me. As busy as I am, that will be tomorrow...

1. Where can i find a manual? I'm not opposed to buying a paper copy or downloading one if there are any available.

2. I was looking to buy a Clarion remote for the back of the boat like came from factory only to find that they have been discountinued. It still works, but the screen doesn't light up, and bothers me. Can i find parts for this will I just have to switch it out for a newer one? Model is M103RCE.

3. I busted one of the front navigational light covers off, and its in the bottom of the lake. It was a perko and came factory on the boat. I'm having trouble finding the exact same style. Any tips where to look?

4. There's a short in the captain's call exhaust so I am loud at all times. Doesn't bother me, but it might bother others... Any tips where to look? Haven't got that far yet.

Guys, I'm sorry for all the questions, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome...There isn't really a manual per say. More like a brochure. If one does exist TEAMBAJA would have it.

As far as the NAV light you'll have to replace the light if you have the one on each side and not in the front XT Innovations has some forsale.

The short in the Captains call you'll have to trace down yourseslf. It could be a connection in the switch, solenoid or wiring harness. See if you have power at the solenoid first if you do most likely you have a bad solenoid.

Best of luck this winter getting your projects lined out. I also might have some Clarion Remotes forsale come winter I'm deciding if I'm going to replace my head unit or not.

Welcome to OSO.

You can call Sea Ray customer service (865) 971-6270 and ask for the generic Baja Owners Manual. I think they developed a little more detailed Manual for the 23 in 06' or 07' that shows a little more information, but like Irish said it is probably a waste of time.

I do stock those Nav. lights, but they were from Aqua Signal on the 23ol. Older Baja models had the Perko light.

Well crap. I ended up finding some lights already so I bought a pair. I'm still looking for a remote though. I've got the cover on the boat right now expecting rain, so I probably won't be able to mess with it for a few days anyway. I've got a few more odds and ends that need some attention, quite a bit of wiring that needs looked over, and I'm going to get the windshield re-tinted. Lots and lots of info on here. I kinda wish i would have found Wally's winterizing list before I jumped in and did mine.

If someone has one of these remotes, I'd definately be interested. I didn't pull mine out yet, but I was told that they used a 2 inch hole and the newer versions used a 3 inch. I hate to go cutting a hole in something I can't weld back.

Crappy cell pic of the boat.

Replace the remote with the updated one. I do have a spare one. I'll dig it up when I get home.
