Can anyone help me out. Looking at either purchaseing 2 long block 454. or 2- 454 crate engines. checking on line found long blocks for as low as $1650.00 and as high as $9000 crate engines for as low as $2600 and as high as $9000. with such a big differance in numbers Im a bit confussed. Iam looking for someone who may be able to set me up with a bussiness who will not only treat my fairly but be there with some hows, whys, and wtfs???

it all depends on what you want to do. good engine parts and machine work/assembly cost money. just like anything else there is a great range of quality and price.

hook up with a local reputable machine shop, build a relationship with them and go from there.
