Default Aerotek boats?

What does everyone think about aerotek boats? A friend of mine is looking at a 92 27ft with 502 bravo on a trailer in the mid $20's and looks pretty clean but I have not seen it in person.

I tied to have an Aero tek built back in 95. That was right at the time when the owner was about to go belly up but wouldn't admit was happening. We all know the story.....robbing Peter to pay Paul.....taking money for a new boat to finish an old one. It finally caught up with him. I was one of the few at the bottom of the pyramid that got stuck for a lot of money. They built a very light boat. Vacume bagged and hull and deck tabbed rather than shoe box fitted and glassed together all the way around. There were a couple that raced in B class in the early 90's. After the fact I had heard from people that had 94 and early 95's built that were far from a quaility product. One guy had the have the whole stringer sytem redone. A couple of delamination storys. But I was also told the the early 90's boats were pretty good. I like the looks and the fit and finish of the boats I looked at were pretty good. But I think as the owner got further and further behind he may have tried to take short cuts to get boast completed.

No matter the history of the boat campany, have it surveyed if its a solid boat and what he likes then go for it. As for Resale of the boat nobody really profits form them unless there are brand new.
