Here's the deal; Homeowners is only covering a few grand. I don't have collision on the boat. Homeowners; The tree is on the neighbors lot and there is no recourse. I needed a rider in the policy, just like what I did with my Rolex.
Get it fixed? or just bail and get another boat for next year?

ouch, that had to suck coming out and seeing that. Certainly fixable though. I guess you just have to run the numbers to see what works best. Whats owed on the boat, whats it worth damaged, what position you'd be in on a new replacement boat.

Ouch that sucks! The best lesson here is to save our OWN money istead of depending on insurance because they ALWAYS find a way to screw the honest people, only the dishonest seem to get stuff covered, which in turn raises the rest of the honest insureres rates.

I had a situation like this once with a tree at a rental property. Tree took out the neighbors fence and my attorney advised me not to pay for repairs (just wanted to be a nice guy) because he said it could be viewed as an omission of guilt and my good deed could turn into me putting a new roof on their house and getting them new siding.
Now if the tree in question had been mentioned to the neighbor previously (rotten, leaning, etc) and you happen to have a certified letter stating your concerns than the neigbor better get his checkbook ready to buy you a new ride.
Definately a bummer deal and like Dave said run the numbers of what the boat is worth parting out/replacing versus repairing.
Best of luck

The neighbors insurance could be liable, unless maybe your boat was actually on his property without his knowledge.
