Basically on any of the bay's and or protected waters persay with nicer beach frontage?

I'm from Ohio and all my in laws and family live in traverse city, and my ladies uncle lives on the west side of the east arm! I think upper Michigan is still one of the best great unmolested places in the country!

One Water St Inn(Boyne City) is right next to the City Beach and has a beach of it's own. Hard to find a house that they will rent out for only 2 days. Harborage marine next to it and city launch is a pretty good launch.
